Hi, I'm Jeff Tyson! I live in Raleigh, NC and I’m a songwriter. My music is a bold blend of gritty guitar riffs, soulful grooves, and the storytelling spirit of the South, fused with unexpected twists from rock, pop, hip-hop, and soul. With every song, I honor my Southern roots while pushing the boundaries of what Southern rock can be. My sound is raw, vibrant, and unmistakably my own: equal parts front porch jam and wild, late-night highway ride.

I wrote my first song, "World Gone Mad", in 1984 for my first band, Phaze, and have been writing ever since. However, I got out of the music scene over 20 years ago because dystonia tremors had taken my voice and my ability to play. I kept writing, but now all my songs were simply stuck in my head.

Then I saw a news feature on Randy Travis and how his production team was able to digitally clone his voice so he could release a new album. I started playing with this all-new AI technology and suddenly, my passion for music was reignited. I could finally get my songs back out in the real world for others to hear!!

The words in my songs and the melodies are all mine. I use Ableton, RipX, and Audacity to help me take the parts I create with AI and combine them into my unique sound. 

I created Dead Dave as a virtual band to showcase my music. But what I truly want is to have someone take the songs I've forged and breathe the life of actual performances into them. I hope you like my songs, and I hope one day you will hear one of your favorite artists singing one of them!
